About stage

Nicole Barker

I am a designer at heart, but I love to sketch. I will frequently integrate illustrative artwork into a project. My organic style employs exaggerated color, vibrant textures, and high contrast. I draw inspiration from my favorite artists: Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Caravaggio, and Vermeer, but I strive to create something unique, gathering ideas from my own experiences. I imagine how much more engaging a static work would be if it incorporated interactivity. Integrating animation, video, sound, and music into a work of art is more than compelling. It gives the viewer a story and information he can influence, and opens the creative possibilities into four dimensions of space. The artwork becomes an interface design.
